Optimum Property Fix (OPF) is a web application designed for the University of Nevada, Reno's (UNR) dormitory residences as well as Facilities and Services. This project was created for UNR's CSE Department for Senior Capstone in Spring 2022.
OPF was developed by three of the department's students using Flask and SQLAlchemy, hoping to digitize the university's current dormitory maintenance request system and improve it.

The current dormitory maintenance requests system at UNR provides a system that is flawed and susceptible to complications. Some issues the current system faces are paper trails, leading to lost reports, a lack of maintenance request progress tracking for the students, and deters students from submitting issues that occur within the property. Moreover, OPF aims to revamp UNR’s current system through a new and improved maintenance request system, accessible to dormitory students as well as facilities and service members. OPF’s functionality fully eliminates the paper-based system and replaces it with a web application that retains all maintenance records in one place.

The main feature OPF provides is a digitized maintenance request system, where dormitory residents are able to see their ticket status after they created it. There is also a view where the resident can see a full list of their created tickets as well as specific details about their tickets. Furthermore, students have the ability to create feedback about Facilities Services' maintenance on their tickets. Similarly, Facilities Services has their own view where they can see the same view as residents, but they have an additional page for analytics, focusing on summarizing details about the created tickets.
